About Us

The Female Pelvic Pain Association(FEPPA) is an initiative taken in the year 2020, with a vision of serving and supporting women of all age groups suffering from pelvic pain by improving their quality of life through providing excellent healthcare.

Our Mission

We are dedicated to serving the sufferers in India as well as globally to build a healthier community by improving the quality of life and alleviating the suffering of people with pelvic pain and their families and to minimise the burden of pain on individuals and the community through awareness, education, funding, support, research and improving access to treatment and services. Therefore we aspire to connect and collaborate with related professionals around the world for spreading awareness so that we can accomplish our goal of developing excellence in quality of care for females with pelvic pain.

Our Objectives

  • To hold a global annual conference apart from regional educational activities for health professionals for the creation and dissemination of the knowledge regarding this disorder.
  • To develop consensus terminology in the field and to raise public awareness through education, outreach and engagement and by producing education materials including patient information leaflets
  • To improve the strength of this association by involving regional groups and by collaborating with all allied specialities.
  • To support individuals living with chronic pelvic pain by improving access to care with provision of easy availability of specialists online or offline depending on their location; and by supporting their physical and emotional well-being through provision of support groups.
  • To support, encourage and fund innovative research to further enhance the knowledge of pelvic pain including discovering improved methods for the diagnosis, treatment and control of pelvic pain.
  • To collaborate with the community including consumers, carers, not for profit organisations, health care professionals, employers, funders, governments and other stakeholders in India and the world to achieve our objectives.
